It is located in Lisse, this is a small city 50 minutes driving from Amsterdam. So if you are planning to go to Amsterdam this is an interesting trip that you can do. You just need to have in mind that this park is only opening a few months per year, during spring.
Every year they plant 7 millions of flower bulbs in 32 hectares. Besides of tulips, you will also see roses, orchids, lilies and many other different flowers. In addition, the park has also windmills, lakes and it’s full of different trails to enjoy the landscape.
Like most of the places in The Netherlands, the park closes at 19:30. We recommend you go in the midday, enjoy the park, have a rest for having lunch and then keep visiting the garden. There is normally less people around 4 pm and it’s also better to avoid the weekend.
